Hello to everyone who is watching Duets with me! Both of you!
Oh, I’m just kidding. Actually, the premiere of Duets did very well, ratings-wise. I’m very interested to see how many of the premiere viewers tuned back in last night.
Here’s how it all went down.
Quddus welcomes us back to Duets and reminds us how this show works.

Basically, everyone sings with their “superstar” and then the other “superstars” vote on the performance, using a super secret scoring system. Then they show us The Chart.
He also tells us that, tonight, no one is going home, again.
Well, fine. Can I just take tonight off, then? I have a Corona and a backyard fire pit with my name on them.
Apparently not.
He promises me that next week, the bottom two will be singing for their lives.
My six year old wants to know if they’re going to kill them. It might make the show more interesting if they did.
Ah, in week six, we go live and then we. get to vote. Hallelujah! Can we just skip to that week?
Oh no, the superstars are performing again this week. Robin and Kelly are singing at each other.
They are going to do this every week, aren’t they? I hate them.
Kelly has cute hot pink earpieces.
Robin’s animal that lives on top of his head doesn’t move through the entire performance. It’s scary.
Quddus is looking awesome this evening, in case you were wondering. He introduces all the superstars and then reminds us again how the show works.
Then we get to relive last week. Oh, please, no.
We’re reminded that Kelly’s amateurs finished in the bottom two last week.
And then Quddus tells us that there is some major news about one of the amateurs that they’re going to reveal later in the show.
I’m not really invested in any of these people enough to care about that, though. Let’s move on.
