Duets: A Trainwreck, Some Awesomeness And Really Sad Hair Recap and Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Sharon-anne Osenenko
July 6, 2012
Still time to go.
Last week on Duets, everyone sang and no one stood out for sucking.
Tonight, we’ll find out who we sent packing, and the final four will sing. Then we get to kick someone out again.
But first, we have to live through Robin Thicke and Jennifer Nettles singing Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
Jennifer is looking adorably pregnant. Seriously, I love baby bumps.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
However, Freddy Mercury is rolling over in his grave. Over and over and over and... when is this thing going to end?
Quddus is wearing a tie to celebrate the fact that we are live, I guess.
The final four are taking on “the standards” tonight, and so there is a big band on the stage.
Everyone claps for the superstars.
So this kind of sucks.
Qutie tells us we all voted and the results are in and someone is going home. Right now. At the beginning of the show. Talk about taking a down beat.
He brings the five contestants up on stage.
As they climb the steps I have to take a second to tell you guys that Bridget Carrington is wearing the yellowest dress I’ve ever seen. But that’s not a bad thing.
Everyone else is in dark colors and/or white, so she really stands out and yellow looks great on her.
First, Qutie talks to Jason Farol. Which means he’s safe. He wouldn’t go to the eliminated contestant first, right? Yeah, he’s safe.
Kelly looks like she’s going to explode and then stands to hug him. But she can’t really move, because her dress is too tight.
Qutie tells Olivia she is in the bottom two.
J Rome is, of course, safe. He’s also looking quite dapper in his white jacket.
The last two up are Bridget and John Glosson. Qutie tells us, unshockingly, that Bridget is joining Olivia in the bottom two.
Now we get the suspenseful music and the roving lights as the girls nervously bite their lips and try not too look too scared.
