star again.
Dancing with the Stars crowned a new champion last night in a two hour extravaganza that was a fitting tribute to the show’s cast of unknowns who became one of the most watched shows of the season.
It seems like it was yesterday when I opened my web browser and read all the complaints that there were no real stars in the show and how this was going to be a total bore.
Well, it seems that there was enough drama and passion to keep people tuning in and by the looks of it, the season of unknowns was successful enough to have the show return for a 13th season next September.

Not bad for a show that had “no stars”, right?
As it is the custom, the show welcomed all the eliminated stars, this time, they all got to join in the fun right at the beginning, when the opening number managed to incorporate all of them at the end, along with a shower of confetti.
For a moment, I had to check and see if I was not watching American Idol.
Along the way, we got to see some new routines, some reworked, a striptease, and a battle of the fighters that were all entertaining and in some cases reminders of why these people did not make it to the finals.
Take for example Psycho Mike. The guy is hot, there is no denying it, and he is funny, but he gives us Latinos a bad name when it comes to dancing because the guy is probably the worst dancer the show has seen since Master P.
To welcome him back, we got not only a dance, but a comedy skit where they put him to audition for the dance troupe.
Eventually, he joined the troupe in a dance that was embarrassing as a dance but great as comedy.
It ended on a high when his status as eye candy of the first order was reinforced with a stripping down to a unitard that left very little to the imagination.
Let’s just say that he reinforces the stereotype that mixes Latinos, a past tense of the verb “to hang”, a horse and we’ll leave it at that.
Or Petra’s welcome back; a repeat of her Waltz to the song “You Raise me up.”
At first, it was all played in flashback to the point that I thought it was just the editors showing the original performance. I remember thinking “I don’t recall any of the DWTS singers sounding just like Josh Groban, but well, I might just be getting old.
That is when Dmitry stopped the dancing.....
