Dancing With The Stars Recap: Bad Scoring, Bad Costumes And A Hot Marshmallow Recap and Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Melissa Stavarski

Tom sets up the commercial as Val and Sherri dance offstage. Tom looks over and says, “Now they’re doing the dance step.”
For that, I give Tom a 10. Carrie gives the pair 8 points, Len gives them 7 points, and Bruno gives them 8 points. 23 out of 30.
I’m speechless. There’s no doubt in my mind, now, that the judges are instructed to over score Sherri because she has a big mouth and she’s on The View. And, The View is on the same network. Win win for ABC.
Melissa Gilbert and Maks Chmerkovskiy are third. Melissa still has great hair.
Melissa and Maks will be dancing the Quickstep to Billy Idol, who Melissa dated in the 80’s. That’s a random but fun fact.
In rehearsal, Maks makes Melissa cry when he compliments her. Poor Maks. The guy can’t catch a break.
I was thoroughly disappointed in Haflpint’s routine last week. I hope she works it out with the Quickstep. While the dance looks better, she certainly hasn’t relaxed any.
Maks’ behind is really distracting. Is there a butt pleat in his pants?
Melissa’s muscles are tight. Her face hides nothing. Her emotions are completely on display. She also slips on the stairs.
Carrie Ann likes her better after she slips. She feels like Melissa let go after that. Carrie Ann tells her that her shoulders are tense and reiterates what I said about showing her emotions on her face.
Len says, "It all started off really well for me. You had good posture and good movement. As the dance went on, you lost a bit of energy.”
Bruno thinks Melissa overthinks. He also points out that Maks’ routine was, once again, very difficult.
Now the judges decide to judge. Let’s see how that carries over into the scores.
It’s a seven from Carrie Ann, a six from Len, and a seven from Bruno. 20 out of 30. The audience is booing.
Brooke asks the couple what they think about the 20. Melissa says, “It is what it is. I had an amazing time and I looove my partner.” Bummer, there’s no mention of the prairie this week.
Jack Wagner and Anna Trebunskaya are dancing the Jive.
Anna says Jack is picking up quickly, but he has trouble adding his hips and arms. I feel you, Jack. Coordinating multiple limbs is no easy task for me either. He’s definitely having fun in rehearsals.
