First perfect 30 of
the season.
Classical stars Jackie Evancho, Joshua Bell, and Vittorio Grigolo perform on Dancing with the Stars this week.
Also, Lady Gaga and The Chippendales are thrown in for good measure.
Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas are first with the Rumba.
Surely, Katherine’s profession will give her an advantage this week, right? She knows the music, but she’s worried about mixing the music with the Rumba.
She knows classy. She does not know sexy bits and Mark wants a sexy Rumba.

At one point, he instructs Katherine to dance while gripping his butt. Mark says, “You can’t spell classical without ASS.” Of course, that makes perfect sense.
Derek is going to have to bring his A-game this week to annoy me more than Mark.
The music is lovely but Mark dressed as a three year old pretending to be a superhero leaves a lot to be desired.
I normally enjoy Katherine and Mark’s performance. I like Katherine a lot.
However, I didn’t like this dance at all. I don’t know if it’s too slow, badly choreographed, or the distracting costumes – or lack of in Mark’s case – but I couldn’t wait for it to be over.
The dancing seems to be technically solid but I didn’t feel any connection between Katherine and Mark or Katherine and the audience.
For the record, I never saw Katherine grab Mark’s behind.
Len likes that they kept it elegant.
Bruno calls Katherine the unattainable object of desire. Then he reminds us that he likes it a bit raunchier. He says, “You could have gone a bit further to get my juices going.”
Tom retorts, “With your juices, the spigot is always open.”
Moving on to Carrie Ann, she feels Katherine is unmatched in this competition in the technical sense. But, she, too, was missing the connection and chemistry.
She says Katherine should have generated more passion and heat.
They earn three nines from the judges, giving them 27 out of 30.
