Dancing With The Stars Recap: Semi-Finals Sees The Judges Pimping Their Pets Recap and Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Melissa Stavarski

Generating bun-envy on
a national scale.
After eight grueling weeks and eighteen million injuries, it’s the semi-finals of Dancing with the Stars season 14.
The couples are each going to dance two dances.
Vying for a spot in the finale are Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas, William Levy and Cheryl Burke, Maria Menounous and Derek Hough, and Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd.
I’ve been keeping track of the points up until now and if this were a cumulative deal, this is how they would look on the leaderboard.
Katherine and Mark – 272 points
William and Cheryl – 265 points
Maria and Derek – 262 points
Donald and Peta – 260 points
I have to give credit where credit is due. Brooke looks beautiful tonight. It’s a huge improvement over last week’s bangs.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
Round One Performances:
William Levy and Cheryl Burke are first, dancing the Tango.
Their outfits have matching glitter. I like Cheryl’s wide-leg pants.
The choreography is lacking and the wow factor is missing. Their facial expressions are distracting. However, William’s posture is better.
Len declares it the best semi-final ever. Never mind that it’s the first dance.
He warns the couples that he’s going to be really critical and watch very closely because the competition is so tight.
He says the hold could have been tighter and movement could have been crisper, but overall a good job.
Is it impossible for Bruno to speak while sitting? Bruno says it was full of animal magnetism.
Carrie Ann is also checked into reality this week and ready to judge. She says, “There was one over-rotation on the drop.” Everything else is amazing.
Carrie Ann and Len give them a nine. Bruno gives them a ten. 28 out of 30.
Tom says about Bruno’s ten, “Bruno is always happier for himself than the star he gave the ten to.” As always, I love Tom’s whit.
