Dancing With The Stars Recap: The Scores Were Epic, Were The Dances? Recap and Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Melissa Stavarski
May 22, 2012
Who will it be?
It’s time for the Dancing With The Stars season 14 final performances.
The season of all-around good dancers, dances that were perpetually over scored, judges’ favoritism and antics, and a ridiculous amount of injuries is ending.
Dancing in the finals are Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas, and William Levy and Cheryl Burke.
Each couple will be dancing two dances, a judges’ pick and freestyle.
Bruno mentors William and Cheryl’s segment. Was there any doubt Bruno would be paired with William? The judges’ pick for them is the Cha Cha.
William’s Dancing With The Stars debut dance was the Cha Cha. This time, however, he’s supposed to dance it better.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
They give Bruno a little taste of their dance and Bruno wants to take a little taste of William.
Holding himself back, he says, “Your hip action is just sex on legs.” William hopes for three tens. No worries, William. I have a feeling we’re going to see a lot of the ten paddles tonight.
I’m not blown away. While William dances well, he seems checked out, like he’s ready for the next American adventure or he’s hungry for apples.
I’m not sure, but he definitely lacks the charisma that some of the other dancers have brought to the dance floor this season.
It ends with a ton of confetti. I obviously have no idea what I’m talking about, because the judges love it.
Len says, “Good as I've ever seen in 14 seasons of cha-cha-cha.”
Bruno says, “That was an intoxicating Cuban cocktail.” He adds that the technicality and placement of the dance was excellent.
Carrie Ann says he’s grown miles and now shows sophistication in his dancing.
Perfect score. 30 out of 30.
Katherine and Mark’s repeat dance is the Paso Doble.
