A new favorite.
Wow, what a crazy week we had with Dancing with the Stars.

Jaleel White, the presumed front runner at the time when the cast was first announced, found himself going home thanks to the judges last Tuesday.

I can’t say I’m going to miss Jaleel too much, but I still believe that Roshon is too green and annoying to ever truly win this show.

He’s been in the bottom three about three times now I believe.

That has to shake his confidence, and the only reason he’s been kept safe is due to the judges’ confidence in his abilities.

For one, I don’t particularly care for Roshon’s dancing. It looks all too rehearsed and combustible instead of tight and carried with finesse.

Len and Bruno were right when they called out Roshon’s awkward foot placements this week. I thought he and Chelsie’s Argentine Tango lacked drama, passion, and strong technique.

Their lifts were alright, but their routine as a whole failed to wow me.

Speaking of failing to wow me, how the heck is Melissa Gilbert still on this show?

Granted, I had presumed her popularity from Little House on the Prairie would catapult her to the end of this competition, but that was before I started watching her dance.

This week may have showcased her sloppiest routine yet.

Those poorly executed lifts and heavy-footed steps had me grimacing in uncomfortable pain watching Melissa perform her Argentine Tango.

I will say that the Mozart music she was given was a tad difficult to sync with steps in addition to finding a comfortable rhythm to work with to show musicality.

Melissa should have gone home this week, but her fans – god knows people love an underdog – have been able to keep her out of danger this whole season.

I want to turn briefly toward Classical Week.

Although I’ve been anticipating a return to this theme since Season 12, I couldn’t help but be let down by the musical pieces used for each particular dance.
