Dancing With The Stars: Two More Couples Are Gone In Final Double Elimination
November 4, 2009

Where are his fans?
Two more couples get the boot on Dancing with the Stars' second (and final) week of double-eliminations. Did Mark Dacascos' low scores doom him? Which stars faced off in the knockout dance? Find out below!
With so much lined up (Derek and Mark! Colbie Caillat! Rod Stewart!), we get right down to it with the Team Tango encore. It's still as awesome as it was Monday. In the recap, Michael says his 23 felt great. Mark says he doesn't know if he could have done any more than he did. Mya is pleased with her 25 because it's way better than their previous score. Uh, you got a 24 last week. Not that much better. Speaking of not being able to do math, Aaron realizes backstage that his 29 is his highest score yet.
First safe couple: Kelly and Louis
First couple in bottom three: Mark and Lacey
Colbie Caillat performs on the other end of the ballroom. But the bigger story — or rather smaller — is what Edyta's not wearing on the floor. I guess she ripped off a foot of fabric for each of the past six weeks she's been gone, so she may very well be completely nude by the finale.
Second safe couple: Donny and Kym
Second couple in bottom three: Michael and Anna
Mark and Derek's much ballyhooed singing/dancing performance of "Move" follows. Actually, the "singing" is done by the backing track, so it's more like a funky, '80s-fied dancing performance to "Move," which I first thought contained the lyric "wash your body"... but it turns out to be "watch your body." Derek and Mark look like Justin Timberlake and J.C. Chasez out there. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing yet.
Next, we learn the rules of Dancing: Rule 1: Don't talk about the trophy Rule 2: Don't talk about the trophy Rule 3: If someone stops or goes limp — I mean, trust your partner Rule 4: No risk, no reward Rule 5: Leave it all on floor Rule 6: Winning is not everything; it's the only thing
Next two safe couples: Mya and Dmitry Joanna and Derek
That leaves Aaron and Karina as the last couple in the bottom three. So Aaron is basically not pulling in any votes at all. Ouch. He had the highest individual score and the second highest total score of the night and still landed here.
After a hip-grinding rendition of "It's the Same Old Song" by Rod Stewart — who looks more alive than he did at the American Idol finale — we get down to business.
First couple eliminated: Michael and Anna
Tom gives Michael props.....
