Back in the lead.
We finally returned to a one day leg of the race so every slip and wrong decision counted.
The teams were immediately bunched by yet another needle in the haystack challenge with a minor puzzle at the end.
There was another puzzle which actually had a challenge to find the correct key, but it was thwarted by a little thing known as shouting.
Both the Gypsies and Football Players just asked their other team members to describe the key.

Why the Cops tried and failed was beyond me.
There was a moment where teams could pick between jumping off a cliff into water or rappelling down next to the waterfall.
I don't think any team really thought that wasting time was even smart.
With the teams already losing time in their first challenge, everyone was afraid that a second challenge could equalize teams again.
It seems bad that most of the middle pack teams still haven't gotten the concept of kayaking when they did kayak in the second leg.
Because of this there is clearly a division between The Gypsies, Fab 3, No Limits, and Football Players and then Cops, Country Boys, California Girls, and the Fishermen.
While the Football players are nowhere near as good as the other three, their brute strength keeps them in the race.
The viewers never got to see who the fishermen really were and in this episode we were provided with a lot of negatives.
Firstly, the cousins curse up a storm, which wasn't surprising under the high amount of stress, but the editors made it worse by choosing segments of non-stop cursing.
Secondly, the team didn't know how to read.
Again, stress is a factor, but the real point that seven other teams could complete a task without any trouble is a sign of a problem.
