Fashion Star: Top Shot - Here's The Rankings

This week the Fashion Star designers had to not only create amazing looks, but also had to have a photoshoot that would represent an advertisement that would scream their personal brand.

For some like Kara and Luciana their brands could translate no matter what background they used, but for Nikki, she didn't understand her brand at all.

With fewer designers, I'm convinced that the buyers have to make tough decisions on which boring outfit to make.

The clear frontrunner is Kara and that's why she was the only one who had a true bidding battle.

It still seems like each buyer has to have at least one item so they could sell something after the episode has aired.

Kara has earned almost $100,000 more than her nearest competitor Luciana.

Of the remaining three in the bottom, all three only have a $20,000 spread.

The fact that it seems like five contestants make it to the finale is a bit depressing for the viewers but great for the contestants.

I think that Fashion Star should have done two things that every reality show seems to do at least once.

They needed to make a double-elimination week to really weed out the weak designers.

Secondly, they need some more guest mentors to come in.

The editor-in-chief of Glamour was a great choice, but it seemed like she was only there to talk to the designers about how an advertisement is created instead of how their designs would fit into their magazine.

I'd love to see Elle McPherson actually at the workroom making suggestions at a model's perspective.

Ross was finally eliminated after not listening to his protective shield Jessica Simpson.

I thought all of his jackets not only looked race jockeys instead of hunter jackets, but his photoshoot also looked awful.

Instead of evoking his "Walking around a Wheatfield" idea, it looked like an African safari.

Got thoughts? Post them at the end.

His attitude was the thing that turned me off the most, he seemed a bit more into his designs than taking advice.

I understand why he wouldn't want to listen to Jessica Simpson or Nicole Richie, but they still have proved to be somewhat successful.
