Hell's Kitchen: Who Will Win Hell's Kitchen? Ranking The Final Two Commentary and Rankings by RTVC Staff Writer James Kuz August 4, 2010
I can’t believe that we’re coming to the end of another season of Hell’s Kitchen. Things are getting interesting and I can’t wait to see who will be the new head chef at the Savoy Restaurant in London.
Last week, the final four did so well the Chef Ramsay decided not to eliminate anyone, and eliminate two chefs next service.
Challenge: The challenge this week was no surprise. Chef Ramsay made the chefs a dish and they had to recreate it. Like always, there was one person who strayed away from the rest of the pack. Jay decided to go with a different meat and puree than the rest of the chefs. Unfortunately when it came to judging the dishes, he got praised for the puree, but his incorrect meat lost him the challenge. In the end it came down to Holli and Ben and I was secretly rooting for Holli. Thankfully she beat him and won yet another challenge. Of course after that Ben had to start talking trash about her.
Then during the punishment Ben pulled his back and pretty much told the other chefs that he was quitting and wished them good luck. Meanwhile Holli, Jay, and Autumn prepped for dinner service without his help and all said they were going to be mad if he decided to continue on the competition. Of course, Ben decided to stay and the other chefs couldn’t have been more pissed
Service: During service Chef allowed each chef to take a turn at running the pass. Jay was up first and was pretty impressive. Right from the beginning he was assertive and led the kitchen. He spotted all the sabotages and was on the top of his game. Next up was Holli and she started off a little timid. Then she started to break out of her shell, even though she didn’t catch the mistake on the order, which I personally think was an unfair sabatoge since they aren’t used to working with the tickets. She recovered, though, and spotted the sabatoge in the food. After bashing Holli the whole time came to the pass and took control from the start. He did a good job at the pass, but I still don’t like him. Finally Autumn came up to the pass and had problems with spotting the sabatoges. Then she started sending pretty much everyone’s food back. At the end of service Chef revealed that he would be sending two people home.
Elimination: It came time to announce the finalists and Chef asked them all why they should be in the finals. Unfortunately he had to eliminate one person off the bat and that person was…Autumn. She did well and should leave with her head held high. Chef then announced that the first person in the finals is…Jay! That left us with Ben and Holli and I was praying that Holli would make it. Then Chef announced the second finalist is…Holli! Thank goodness! That means that Ben didn’t make it and didn’t deserve to make it after this week.
So that leaves us with Jay and Holli fighting for the head chef position at the Savoy Restaurant in London. Who’s going to win?
