Hell's Kitchen: The Comeback Kid Leaves With Head Held High
Recap and Scoreboard by James Kuz
October 7, 2009
We’re down to the final four on Hell’s Kitchen! After the last couple of weeks things haven’t been looking so good, even though it’s getting down to the wire. Hopefully this week will be the best yet!

Last week, after having all jackets possible on Hell’s Kitchen, Suzanne finally took off her jacket and headed home. I don’t think anyone’s really going to miss her as they were all gunning for her to leave the whole time. That leaves us with: Ariel, Dave, Kevin, and Tennille as the final four. Now that that Suzanne’s finally gone hopefully they can come together and have a strong service.

Challenge:
The chefs come downstairs ready for their challenge, but a mini Chef Ramsay appears. It’s kind of scary since he looks exactly like him, but he makes a joke about shooting Dave when Chef Ramsay finally comes out.

He then tells them that it’s important to be able to cook for vegetarians, which leads them to their next challenge. The chefs have to prepare 80 portions of a vegetarian dish, but they don’t know who they’re cooking for.

After preparing their dishes Chef calls them over and tells them that their guests are here and out pops a bunch of kids. They chant “We want food” the whole time and it doesn’t look like they like the vegetarian food.

Each of the kids’ votes on the dish they liked the best in order to see who won the challenge. After the kids are done Chef reveals that Kevin came in fourth, Ariel came in third, Dave came in second, and surprise…Tennille won! For her reward she gets to go to a sushi restaurant in Nobu, Los Angeles, while the rest of the chefs have to clean up the dining room that the kids literally destroyed.

At the Nobu sushi restaurant Tennille gets a nice new set of sushi knives. She eventually heads back to Hell’s Kitchen where everyone’s getting ready for service.

Service:
Chef Ramsay collects the chefs together and tells him that the key to tonight’s service is “passion.” All the chefs are ready and service starts.

Kevin starts on the appetizers and cooks them perfectly. Tennille screws up on her first order of scallops, but then cooks them perfectly the second time. All the appetizers get served and the chefs move onto entrees, where Dave’s leading the meat station.

While cooking the lamb he pushes himself a little too much and hurts his arm once again. I have to be honest; I’m getting really worried about Dave. He keeps hurting his arm and if he continues to mess with it, there could be permanent damage. After getting his arm looked at, Dave returns to the kitchen and serves his lamb.

Then things shift to Tennille on the fish and she can’t seem to cook the fish properly. She burns her first attempt and Chef Ramsay comes over to her station and all the fish she has isn’t cooked well. Then she serves a raw halibut to Chef and things just start to fall apart.

After having to go back on her cooking times, Chef finally has enough and takes her out of the kitchen to talk to her. He tells her to get it together and she comes back into the kitchen pumped. She serves her fish perfectly and I’m happy that she bounced back. All the entrees get served and they complete service.

Elimination and the Surprise:
After service Chef Ramsay tells.....
