Is humble pie
on the menu?
Last night’s episode of Hell’s Kitchen started off on a bitter note when Patrick threatened Royce. Hold the testosterone, please!
Next, we are treated to Kimmie’s Hell’s Kitchen rap, which certainly lifted everyone’s spirits, although I don’t expect to see her on American Idol anytime soon.
However, as the challenge gets underway, it is soon clear that the Red Team had much bigger problems.
A huge slot machine is unveiled, and each chef gets to pull a lever to determine what ingredients they are going to use to make a spectacular steak dinner.
Sounds simple enough, yes?
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
Ah, but this is Hell’s Kitchen, and simple is never on the menu.
During this particular challenge, the Red Team has six members, while the Blue Team has only five, and Kimmie finds herself without a member of the Blue Team to compete against.
Chef Ramsay quickly rectified the situation by announcing that Kimmie must select one of her own teammates to compete against first to determine the best dish to present during the challenge.
And that decision quickly set the stage for a whole new level of infighting amongst the women. Talk about blowing a clear advantage for the Red Team!
Why Kimmie chose Robyn to compete against is anyone’s guess.
It clearly upset Robyn and to hear Kimmie tell it, she can prepare any cut of steak to perfection, so why would she choose “her best friend” to compete against?
When the remaining members of the Red Team chose Robyn’s dish, Kimmie started to cry.
There are no BFF’s in Hell Kitchen, ladies. Or should I say “girls”, since so many of the Red Team members continue acting like children.
No, I take that back. Several of the women on the Red Team are behaving worse than that since even most children understand the concept of united we stand, divided we fall.
Since the Blue Team is down to only five people and the Red Team has six, the Red Team was given the luxury of an extra dish to choose from.
