Hell's Kitchen Recap: The Men Are Stuck On Stupid

With emotions running high, last night’s episode of Hell’s Kitchen reached the boiling point hours before dinner service even began.

While Christina is ecstatic that Robyn is gone, Justin is skeptical about Robyn’s claims of being happy to be away from the drama on the Red Team.

And his cause for concern is certainly valid since everyone on both teams has seen how Robyn operates.

Unfortunately, for Justin, seeing Robyn’s attitude is different than working with it, as he was suddenly confronted by this whirlwind who deftly takes control of the kitchen right out from under him.

The Craps Challenge was both fair and relevant since the winning team would be jetting off to Vegas for evening while the losers stay up all night roasting a pig.

Ramsay never reveals this information before the challenge, however.

History has proven that regardless of whatever the reward may be for the winning team, no one wants to lose, because the punishment will be far worse.

As the aspiring chefs each take their turn rolling Chef Ramsay’s customized die with letters on it, hope springs eternal that they can each think of the best possible ingredient that starts with the corresponding letter that comes up.

The men were off to a good start when Clemenza chose tomatoes, but then Robyn throws her team a curveball by choosing dragon fruit.

Apparently Brian’s attempt to will her to choose something more relevant, like duck, was not received.

Brian’s frustration quickly changed to understanding when it was his turn, which left the Blue Team with the beginnings of some weird sort of salad.

Thankfully, Royce finally did something right and chose chicken, so the Blue Team finally had something to actually work with.

Meanwhile, the women were off to a less challenging start by choosing lamb and brussel sprouts, along with white relish, chicory, and truffle.

Barbie cooked the lamb to perfection, but Dana’s crunchy brussel sprouts ruined the meal and cost the Red Team the win.

Since it was Dana’s mistake this time, her attitude about losing was very different than before.
