An early leader.
Hell's Kitchen is back!
Gordon Ramsay and Co. have brought in 18 new wannabe chefs for a chance to win a position at a new restaurant owned by Chef Ramsay himself.
Hard to believe weíre on season ten here.
I donít think anyone (including Gordon) thought Hellís Kitchen would ever make it this far. But it has.
People making asses of themselves in front of cameras tends to go a long way.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
The season premiere was only an hour long, so it was difficult to really remember at least half the contestants after everything was said and done.
As always, there was the signature dish tasting, and shockingly enough Chef Ramsay only hated about half of the dishes this year! A promising start?
Think again. At the first dinner service, between both teams, there was a whopping zero entrees served. Zero, zilch, nada, nothing.
Think thatís bad? The men werenít even able to serve an appetizer.
Letís get real - Hellís Kitchen was never really solely about cooking even back in season one when the drama factor was arguably the least dominant compared to later seasons.
Since season 4, the show has slowly become self-parody. And the funny thing is that in doing so, the show has attracted many more viewers.
I enjoy Hellís Kitchen for what it is. If I want to see true cooking prodigies and good food, Iíll go watch Top Chef.
Hellís Kitchen isnít about that. Ultimately Hellís Kitchen takes the worst in people and in food service and makes it entertaining to a mass audience.
The show is funny, it has been for years. It is what it is.
Moving on to this yearís donkeys, very few stood out in a good way and unfortunately editing made it very difficult for some of them to stand out at all. But based on what little I saw I see a little bit of promise from a couple people.
Unfortunately itís the bad ones that stand out even more.
