"Me!" ... Says it all.
Last night was day seventeen in the Costa Rican jungle setting of the NBC June reality show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
Starting off the episode was a recap of camp leader John Salley's decision to choose himself for immunity. Janice Dickinson says “I would not have chosen myself”. Stephen Baldwin was surprised that John did not choose his friend Patti Blagojevich. Patti says in his defense that “he is really competitive”. John says “that's a chess move I had to make”.
Our hosts Damien Fahey and Myleenne Klass then reminded the viewers to vote for the celebrities that they wish to save from elimination this week. Lou Diamond Phillips and John have immunity, but two of the remaining will be going home Thursday. Damien then announced that “the big man is enjoying the big job”.
We join the celebs starting the day in camp. John is enjoying waking up in the camp leader's real bed. He says that the older campers are up and that “I have my BFF with me” but that the “young ones and Janice sleep in”. Sanjaya Malakar says there is no point in getting up early when there is nothing to do.
When John tells Janice to get up, she accuses him of being too rough saying “there was no warmth there”. Stephen tries to tell her that John was not out of line, but she wasn't convinced. She tells Stephen that she had a bad dream of her head being shaved and jumping into the river to save herself. Stephen had fun trying to analyze her dream. Janice then says “I don't want to be who I am” and he tells her that “God can change all that”.
Later Stephen tells John that “somehow that woman's growing on me”. John replies “like a fungus”.
The hosts then break in to remind us that tomorrow two will go home, and to tell us that Torrie Wilson was wrestling with her toughest opponent yet, her emotions.
Back in camp Torrie is complaining that she is lonely, filthy, hungry, and missing everyone at home. She says that this is the first time she has gone more than two days without talking to her friends and family on the phone, and wants a long shower. Sanjaya offered to play with her, but she was not in the mood. Her camp friend Patti gave her a hug. She should quit whining and think about all the exposure she is getting for her future endeavors, whatever they may be, and stay tough.
John then reads a scroll.....
