I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here: Sweet And Sour For Dinner And Elimination
Recap and Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Debbie S.
June 19, 2009
Last night on NBC's June reality show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here we said goodbye to two of the celebrities.

After recapping highlights from this week's episodes, we are told that tonight the teams are going to change, John and Janice will continue to butt heads, the celebs will get mail, and that two are going home.

Hosts Damien Fahey and Myleene Klass welcome us to day eighteen in the jungle of Costa Rica and tell us that “the finish line is in sight”.

We are told that the phone lines are closed, and watch the celebs trying to predict the outcome of the voting, after being told that Janice Dickinson was not in the top two, and Patti Blagojevich not in the bottom two, the night before. John Salley says “I slept really well last night. Immunity helps me sleep”. Stephen Baldwin called it “unsettling, and interesting, and it's got everyone a bit nervous”.

Our hosts then join the celebs at camp and inform them that from now on it is every “man, woman, or supermodel” for themselves, and everyone is given green shirts to replace the pink and blue ones. Torrie Wilson says “I'm excited. I won't have to rely on anyone else if I eat”.

Holly Montag and Janice then get into it about dish duty. Janice tells Holly to clean up a pot since she did all the dishes alone that morning. Holly tells her that John wanted it left, and Janice tells her to find it a home because it was attracting flies. Holly says “thank God she's not camp leader”, then takes Janice aside to tell her that she didn't appreciate her snapping at her. Janice thanks her for her honesty and coming to her directly, but then makes fun of her to the camera “according to Holly it hurt her little feelings, waa”.

John then reads a scroll announcing the new food trial “Mud Pit Mania”. The celebs are given a bag of colorful capes and spandex and told to pick their costumes and invent a wrestling character. It was fun to see them in different garb. Torri says “I'm going to win this one”, and names her character Torrie the Tormentor. Stephen Baldwin makes a mask out of one of the spandex shorts. Janice is embarrassed by her costume and asks Lou Diamond Phillips to let her know if anything starts to fall out during the competition.

At the food trial clearing they are told that there will be three chances to win a pizza for dinner. Three stars, about the size of a hand, are buried in a large mud pit filled with colorful plastic balls and tubes, and baby crocodiles.

Janice touches a crocodile almost right off, and says “get me out of here”. Torrie said it was like a needle in a haystack, and Patti said it was like wearing mud gloves. It didn't look like anyone was going to find a star in that mess. Finally Sanjaya Malakar found the first one, Patti the second, and Lou the third. Stephen was just having fun in the mud, and John tells him when he got out of the pit “you look good brown”. Torrie asks Lou “is there anything you don't win?”

After the celebs washed.....
