Joe Schmo 2 - Spike TV
Season one introduced us to the next wave of reality programming, the "faux-reality" series where only one contestant was real. "Joe Schmo 2" not only features a "Joe Schmo," but a "Jane Schmo" as well. Aside from "Joe" and "Jane," everyone else on the show, from the host to the other 'players,' are actors following a pre-determined storyline.
How far can producers push this 'reality' a second time, especially with more than one "Schmo?" It's twice the risk. Will the actors be convincing enough? We saw from the first season that actors under pressure sometimes fail to remember their cover stories. Will the "contestants" figure it all out, and if they do, how will they react? We'll keep you updated with the latest photos, recaps, news and gossip. Click here to Bookmark this page.

Details are becoming available on Joe Schmo 2. The show will be a Reality TV style dating show as previously reported and of course it will skewer existing shows. There will be two victims this time. A man and a woman. The rest of the cast will be actors. Returning to the show is "Ralph Garman, who emceed the original, returns in disguise as pompous, randy British host Derek Newcastle," according to Variety. The victims "think they're competing
in a reality show called 'Last Chance for Love.' The pair plays among eight faux contestants for the hearts of a bachelor and bachelorette in a series of wacky challenges while living together in an Agoura Hills (southern California) mansion," Variety reports.

Stone Stanley Productions and Spike TV have agreed to produce and air Joe Schmo 2.
Look for a different format this time, perhaps a dating style reality show. But the premise remains the same....only one real contestant.
Ten episodes have been booked.
