Project Runway Recap: Red Carpet Rage

Where is she?
When we left our designers back at episode two, Ven had won immunity and Gunnar was gloating over being in the top three.
But the smug smiles didn't last for long when Tim Gunn announced their next challenge; to design a red carpet dress for a past contestant of "Project Runway" to actually wear on the red carpet.
Oh, and did I mention they'd be working in teams?
See, there's nothing more fickle than two egocentric designers working together to create a dress for another uber-picky egocentric designer, which means serious drama.

First, the teams get paired up with their "client" for the challenge. Gunnar and Kooan end up with Irina, Melissa and Dmitry are paired up with April.
Sonjia and Nathan start work with Valerie, while Buffi and Elena meet up with Laura.
Winner Ven is paired with Fabio, and they pull Kenley, while Chris and veteran Andrea are working with Anya.
Finally, Mila is assigned to Raul and Alicia.
The color palette is dictated by Lexus and inspired by the cars; a tidy plug for the car manufacturer and sponsor of the show.
Right from the start, you can tell there's going to be some issues with the designers and their clients.
While Gunnar admits that he's a controlling b---, Kooan looks like a deer in headlights while discussing chic evening wear. You know he's just itching to bust out the pipe cleaners and googly eyes.
Melissa and Dmitry are a gown dream team, since their esthetics match up almost perfectly.
Ven and Fabio meet with Kenley, and it's clear that Ven isn't impressed with the direction of the outfit.
While he prefers sophisticated stricture, Kenley wants more of a pin-up look. But, since she's the client, they'll work to make her happy.
Alicia and Raul are the two menswear designers, so it's understandable that they look confused and unsure while discussing gowns with Mila.
They promise to give it an old college try as the rest of the designers are rounded up and brought to Mood.
Raul and Alicia decide to go with a red and black print, while Dmitry and Melissa hate all of the Jersey and decide to use a fickle gunmetal charmeuse instead.
