Real Housewives NYC: Somebody Needs To Bring Kelly Back To Earth
Recap by RTVC Staff Writer Teri C.
April 22, 2009
Does Kelly cause another scandal this week? For the Real Housewives of New York being “Unfashionably Late” is not socially acceptable. Tonight we also get to see Kelly go for an updated headshot while LuAnn’s daughter, whom she sent off to boarding school, comes home for a visit.

We start with LuAnn’s daughter, Victoria, arriving home and first thing she realizes that she really misses Rosie (LuAnn’s maid.) They have some chit chat about what is going on at school and the big realization that Victoria has is that you can get a LOT of good stuff from this one place where you take clothes and then they resell them. Oh yeah, it’s called GOODWILL. Yep. Victoria had never heard of it before. How is LuAnn such a “normal” person who happens now to be a countess, but doesn’t teach her daughter about charity? Or is it only charity when you have a foundation? LuAnn skips over that starts to make a list of what she thinks Victoria needs. Like new clothes, a manicure and a nice Japanese lunch. Victoria stares straight into the camera as if to say, “Why?”

Jill was recommended to the BBC Sirius radio show to do an interview for successful Manhattan women. The interview begins and Jill is pretty much hammered with question about having money and what she does with it. She plugs the charity for her daughter’s arthritis and then talks about how the economy affects her. The interviewer looks at her in awe and thinks, as he looks around her newly remodeled townhouse, what she could possibly suffer from. I doubt she suffers from anything. She says that she has always lived by her dad’s motto of spend less than you have and you’ll always be rich. She’s never been in debt. He brings up truly poor people in this country and in this world and she talks about her charity for a village in Africa. Then she goes on to say that she tries to help someone every day. For instance, when she is in an elevator she always holds the door. The interviewer stops the interview there. It looks like his crew can’t get out fast enough. I really like Jill but I am not sure this interview made her many fans.

It’s time for Kelly to get her new head shot. She gets hair and makeup done and I can’t tell any difference from her normal, everyday look. Then she goes into telling us how hard it is to pose for a camera. Then we get to see her in her bathing suit. Then she lets on that she is having a Halloween party. The way she posed in her bathing suit resembles an “A.” So if she sends out the invitations where she is an “A” then others see her, see how flirty and fun she is and they will definitely want to be part of her shin dig. I think she thinks a lot of herself.

Time to check in with Simex. They are visiting Maggie Norris, a fashion designer, who makes designer wear from recycled material. All proceeds go directly to starving children. Simon picked out an outfit for Alex and she is so excited that her husband can be so deep into fashion AND keep her in mind. Alex walks out in what appears to be a bustier with straps but across the chest it says FEED. It’s a burlap bag. Alex is going to wear it to the opening night at the opera. I don’t know I would be seen in it, period.

The fat lady might sing when she walks through the door!

Over at Ramona’s, HSN has asked her to do a quick video presenting her jewelry so they can see her camera presence and see if they would like to sell her line on the show. Ramona admits that her daughter is very judgmental and she loves her very much. Mario does the filming while her daughter gives all the direction. Ramona tells Avery to leave the room, does one take and is good to go.

Back at Simex’s we find that the boys are getting to carve out pumpkins. It’s such a family bonding time. Simex brings us up to date on how living in Brooklyn is so much better than Manhattan. It’s all about living in a house vs. a townhouse. They decorate their front stoop and talk about old Halloween times.

Its Halloween night and the housewives are.....
