Real Housewives NYC: Ball Busters and Missed Metaphors

This week on The Real Housewives of New York it’s time for the Van Kempen’s House party!! That is if they actually get the remodeling done before the guests arrive. With the rain coming down in buckets it may be a race to the finish.
Simex starts out by visiting Zarin fabrics. Lucky NYC Simex brought their little boys. Simon tells them to look with their eyes and not with their fingers. The boys immediately begin to wreak havoc and run ballistically through the store. Jill almost flips out when one of the boys starts hiding under her fabric and then pulls on it so hard he pulls them down. Alex lets one boy hold tight to her right leg as she shuffles through the store while Simon holds the other upside down by one leg. Funny part is the two don’t see anything wrong with how those boys are acting in a public place. Yet no one says anything either, so who can ya blame?
Moving along to Bethenny we find her visiting her hairstylist, Francky L’Official, for a trim and a color. Come to find that Francky has this model friend who he wants to set up with Bethenny. He is a model and while B is not really into models (or actors) but she thinks one time she might try it. So Francky shows B a picture of his friend and B figures she doesn’t have much to lose so why not try to go on the blind date?
Back in Brooklyn we find Simex cleaning up their house. It’s not looking near ready but they don’t have much of a choice to finish it as they have people coming for a house warming party. They both take a seat and decide who is going to be invited. First off is Ramona. Alex doesn’t think she is an appropriate guest, but Simon says (no pun intended) that after the Page Six blow up between the two the seemed to have a ‘moment’. Alex digresses and says to invite them all and whoever comes, comes. Whoever doesn’t, doesn’t.
On the flip side Ramona is visiting a plastic surgeon. Of course she doesn’t really need any work but if you look good, you feel good. So she admits to her doctor that she has a perspiration problem. She gets really wet under her arms and ruins her blouses. The doctor recommends internal ultrasound. The doctor begins working on Ramona and R is so tickled it doesn’t hurt that she kisses the doc on the check and then swings her hair back and forth four times! I wonder if the doc could work on her overbite.
At Jill’s condo Bethenny is visiting and telling Jill all about the date with Francky’s best friend. They discuss the kind of guy that would be right for B but she is even thinking that lately she doesn’t know if she is going to be able to be together with someone and get her success at being the Natural Food Chef of the world. She makes so many sacrifices to make this dream come true but she is also alone. It’s not that she doesn’t want a mate but she wants this dream as much. Her biggest issue is kids. She wants a baby whether she adopts or has one naturally. Last ditch effort? If she’s not married by forty she’ll marry Francky and they’ll have a child and he’ll go do as he pleases and she’ll support him.
LuAnn’s nieces are visiting for a time so she decides it’s time for a Sex in the City-ish night with the girls. She invites Kelly along because K is hip and knows how to have a good time. They start talking about what makes a perfect date. LuAnn thinks that Kelly fits right in because K thinks she is twenty-one as it is. While talking Kelly’s boyfriend, Max, walks in and sits down. She invited him for a girls’ night out. Anyone else having déjà vu of Simon appearing at girls’ night out and Ramona flipping out? In any event, Max has dinner plans nearby so he gives Kelly a quick kiss and disappears. LuAnn asks if they have been on more than one date Kelly wouldn’t answer. LuAnn tells her to relax and let her hair down and Kelly actually takes her hair out of her 1982 top ponytail and shakes it out. LuAnn noted that the metaphor went right over her head. Not surprising to me.
Back to Simex’s house.....
