Stimpy’s Thoughts
Let me state one thing unequivocally before we get started here. I have never been a fan of Cirie, and probably never will be.
I can give her props when they’re due, but something about her always rubbed me the wrong way, and I think it’s because I got this sense of entitlement from her that drove me nuts.
Plus that stupid giggle of hers drove me bat shit insane. Don’t even get me started on her shrieking when she caught that fish during the Exile Island season.
Again, however, I give the woman props. She knows how the game is played, and right outta the gate during that Exile Island season, after declaring her fear of leaves, Cirie knew she was in trouble and turned shit around so she could stay.
Toss in how she got two other groups of people voting different ways so she could dump Courtney and you do have a strategic player.
But there’s a caveat here. Most of the time in that season, she was outwitting the nut jobs of Casaya, so we take that with a grain of salt.
When you watch her interview, it seems like Cirie doesn’t have a real strategy and would appear to be winging it.
I don’t buy that for a second.
She’s playing it close to the chest (there’s room her for a line about how Cirie needs to play everything close to the chest since she’s so ample up top, but I won’t touch it), and I will bet anything on the fact that she already has a thought or two on how to proceed going in.
Then, she’s smartly going to gauge how things are going and then try to make sure she’s on the majority side of things to keep her ass safe past the first few boots.
And to be honest, since she usually drives me insane during her confessionals, I’m willing to bet she’s gonna be around for a bit.
However, let me also say, that while Cirie takes note of the heavyweights that are out there, I don’t think that will do her one iota of good, if said heavyweights decide she’s more of a threat, even at an early stage of the game, than they want to deal with.
I can’t explain it, but a lot of people find Cirie likeable, and after two seasons of playing that card, the rest of the tribe would have to be moronic to let her get that close to the end again.
At least that’s the thought process that I would follow.
So, Cirie could get gunned fairly early, unless she’s an important number to the majority. If that’s the case, then she may have a shot at stirring shit up post-merge.
But given how likeable she is, and how she can always fall back on a strategy argument if she makes it in front of the jury, no one - and I mean NO ONE - should let her get within sniffing distance of the finals.
She may be driven, and she may have the chops to pull shit off, but I think there’s enough people out there with smarts to keep Cirie away from the winner’s circle.
