Survivor Heroes Vs. Villains: It Sucks To Be A Hero
Commentary and Recap by RTVC Senior Staff Writer Jenny Lane

He found it!
Again.
Previously on Survivor Heroes vs. Villains, clues to the hidden immunity idols were given to both camps.

The heroes all searched individually, and Tom emerged victorious, idol in hand.

The villains decided to look for the idol as a group. Despite Russell’s attempts, he hasn’t yet found it on his own.

At the immunity challenge, Rob led the villains to victory, and the heroes were sent to tribal council.

The majority of the tribe planned to vote Tom out, but he played the hidden immunity idol.

In the first power play, JT went against his alliance, switched sides, and helped Tom to vote Cirie out.

After tribal council on night eleven, Colby tells us that JT is his hero, and it was his vote that kept Colby from being voted out. JT tells the group that he hadn’t made up his mind about the vote until tribal council, and says he voted the way he did because he questioned Cirie’s post-merge loyalty. Rupert says “I’m a lot pissed off right now,” directed of course at JT.

The next morning, JT tells Amanda that he will never turn on them, and swears that he would never lie to her. Amanda says okay, but tells us that she knows that JT will lie and make multiple alliances, so “game on, bring it on.”

Over on the Villains beach, Coach has “led the tribe to the beach to do some Dragonslayer Chi, my own special form of movement and meditation, it’s complete body control, it fuses everything together.” Everyone is there, except for Russell, who calls it “Co-chi, that meditation crap.”

No surprise, Russell busies himself with the hunt for the idol. I can’t believe that the rest of the tribe let Russell be by himself even for a second. As Russell digs in a spot that he has been digging in for two days, he suddenly smiles, looks around, and then picks up a small bundle. He tells us that he has been digging in this spot for two days, and the idol was right in his face all along.

The first challenge is set up in a grassy clearing. There is a large playing field with platforms on each end. Above the platforms are baskets. Behind the platforms are what look like net barriers, and behind those are very tall poles (a lot of them).

Three members from each tribe will battle on the field to retrieve football shaped balls. They will then toss those balls to tribemates that are waiting on the platform. Then the platform players will shoot the balls into the baskets. The first tribe to score two baskets and two points wins reward.

The reward is a feast of chocolate at a watering hole, which I’m sure will then be followed by a long bout of digestive unhappiness. Jeff then passes around plates with teeny tiny bits of chocolate on them, amounting to about one chocolate chip’s worth for each player.

The villains pounce on the chocolate, but Colby and the rest of the heroes ignore it. Jeff asks why, and Colby says he’s ready to get to the challenge. Colby says “let’s go,” and Jeff says “I get the message brother, and we’ll go when I’m ready.” Rupert says they’re focused, don’t care about the reward, they just want to win the challenge. Russell says that his tribe is always focused, and “that’s why we keep winning.”

The villains sit out.....
