All Jimmy, all the time.
Well, the premiere episode of Survivor Nicaragua is in the books folks.
I bid hail and welcome to all of you fans of the show, and more importantly, the SnarkFest that I your humble scribe, am about to unveil.
So, first thoughts.
Not a bad episode per se. I could have done with a little less Jimmy Johnson, and more getting to know some of the other people out there, but since Jimmy J. was a pretty integral part of this episode, I guess that can be overlooked.
I did find it interesting in one aspect though, as Probst was doing his voice over shtick, and we saw the howler-type monkey, I thought this was very reminiscent of Guatemala.
Especially since Probst said the game was already afoot, and pointed out that everyone already thought they had been divided into tribes.
Neat little twist on things there.
We got snippets from Jud and Jimmy J. about superficial crap, and then things began in earnest.
Jimmy T. took an immediate (if not sooner) dislike to Jimmy J.
Must be an Eagles fan.
However, Jimmy T. let us know that the basis for his dislike of Jimmy J. is because he thinks the former football coach will opt for a leadership role, and Jimmy T. is not up for that at all.
Yeah, this guy is gonna last long in this game.
Next up was Alina and her immediate dislike of Marty (see? She thought she was going to be on a tribe with him, so she’s getting an early start on the Christmas rush, and decided to hate him now).
I know that in Survivor you’ve always got to be on your toes, and forming quick opinions of people is something you may need to do.
But jesus, girl. Let the man at least speak before you decide you hate his guts.
We get it. He’s older, therefore bad. Can we move on?
Right outta the gate, as Probst welcomed them in, he put Yve on the spot, and she volunteered that it was absolutely easy to begin forming opinions because you can just observe the others and make an estimation (if not an actual judgment) on someone based on that.
Fair enough. I don’t know that I want to be letting everyone know that, though.
Other snippets came out in private then.
First, Kelly B. let us know.....
