Meltdown Holly and the
alligator shoe caper.
This week on Survivor Nicaragua one is left wondering, did that really just happen?
We saw it all this week from shoe and sock theft, to emotional break downs, to one of the craziest tribal councils ever.
So grab your socks and shoes if you can find them and let’s get into it.
Location and Background Stuff
This week we saw that the old fogies are having a very hard time sleeping and getting comfortable. Take it from an old fogie it has nothing to do with sleeping in a hut on bamboo and leaves, it is just what being and old fogie is all about.
It does not matter how many leaves you put down, or how you arrange the bamboo it just isn’t going to get much better unless they win pillows and blankets in a reward challenge.
Over on the spring chickens beach at least from what we saw they did not seem to have this issue. They do have a bunch of other issues which I will get to in a little bit.
Gameplay
For the first time ever the “Medallion of Lameness” got played. I have now written several times about how I hate this thing, and after this week I hate it even more. Let me explain why.
Survivor is a game for a million dollars. This season we started off with 20 players and in theory every person had a 5% shot at the million bucks.
Within the first five minutes of the game all 20 players were told about and then sent off to find the “Medallion of Lameness”.
The spring chickens found it and traded it for some fishing gear.
This meant that the “Medallion of Lameness” moved over to the old fogies tribe and they were given a HUGE advantage in the game one that got every player in the fogies tribe closer to the million bucks tonight, and they did nothing, zero, nada to get this advantage.
That to me is total B.S.
It was very clear tonight that this advantage is what made the difference between winning and losing the challenge. So Shannon got sent home, a fogie got to stay, and the entire tribe of fogies got some fishing gear which will help them for the rest of the game as they will now be eating better.
Without this the spring chickens would have gone back to their camp the winners, they would have had a nice tarp to improve their hut, and they would have not had tribal council.
They would have had a few more days to gel as a tribe, a few more days to really feel things out with each other.
Most importantly they also.....
