Survivor Nicaragua: Pick Your Jaws Up Off The Sand, It's A New Game
Commentary and Recap by Jenny Lane

Do you feel sorry for her?
Me neither.
Previously on Survivor Nicaragua, the older tribe had lost two of the first three challenges.

At camp, they struggled with a lack of food, as well as their tribe’s personal dynamics.

Marty seemed to be unbothered by his tribe’s difficulties, and schemed as if it was already down to the final five.

At the younger tribe, Brenda felt she was in control, with her multitude of alliances. One of her allies is NaOnka, who is also the tribe bully.

She tackled Kelly B., who happens to have an artificial leg, to get the clue to the hidden immunity idol. With Brenda’s help, NaOnka found the hidden immunity idol, and her ego grew to epic proportions.

After the older tribe lost the immunity challenge, Jimmy T. campaigned for Dan’s departure. At tribal council, Marty campaigned hard for Jimmy T’s departure.

In the end, it was Marty who emerged victorious, and Jimmy T. who was voted out. Holly and Jane now seem to be the odd women out, as they were the two who voted for Jimmy T. to stay.

On night eleven, the older tribe is back from tribal council. Holly tells us that she was shocked that Jimmy T. was voted out. She says she had been told that the weakest link was being voted out, and so she just assumed that was going to be Dan.

Now she knows that she’s on the outs with the tribe, and she’s going to have to change her gameplan.

The next morning, the overconfident Marty talks about how he’s in control of the tribe. He tells Dan that he “can’t imagine anything going wrong.” That sounds like famous last words to me.

The two decide that the next to go will be Jane and Holly, since they voted against the tribe. Marty says “it will take something extraordinary, off the charts, completely whacked out, to destroy my plans.” Hmm, foreshadowing…

The younger tribe is happily sitting around, eating breakfast. NaOnka says “we’re the bomb,” and talks about her strong alliance with ‘purple Kelly,’ Brenda and Sash.

She says Kelly B. and Alina will be the first two to be voted out. She says she did her hair, cleaned her shoes, and “got my swag.”

It looks like it’s already challenge time, which seems weird. The two tribes gather on mats, in front of huge triangular shaped boards of some sort.

Instead of asking for the immunity idol back, Jeff simply says “you guys ready to get to it today? Okay, drop your buffs, we are switching tribes!”

That of course brings looks of horror.....
