Okay, another YUM moment.
Sorry, deal with it folks. Besides, ladies when we get to some of the buffer men of this season, I’ll pause to let you drool.
Anyhoo, moving onto Andrea.
Initially, you’d seem to think there’s nuthin’ but good stuff. I mean, discounting the pageant stuff (but she even points to how that can be useful in this game), but other than that she seems to have the physical chops down, right?
Maybe not so much.
There’s not too much to dislike on the surface here, but I’m a bit worried about whether or not Andrea’s gonna be able to handle the true physical exertion that this game can put on a person.
I’ve been a bit deceived in the past thinking some people have the physical chops, and they kaff like New Orleans did against Seattle.
Will she able to handle it? Possibly.
And while that’s a presumptive concern, this one ain’t: Under pet peeves, she said she’s got a million of them.
So. Not. Good.
Chief amongst her peeve was ‘smokers’ breath or smoking period’.
Way to piss of Stimpy there, sweetie.
Putting that aside, let’s address a few of the other peeves: know-it-alls, and lazy people.
I think she just described every person who’s ever played Survivor.
Now, there is shit to like about Ashley’s profile and bio. She does seem driven, and asserts that she thinks she mentally and physically strong enough to do this shit. Toss in the fact that she says she’s willing to whatever it takes to get ahead, you might think you’re looking at someone who can go far.
And, while I’d like to think she can, I’m not getting a great vibe from her for some reason.
After all these seasons, maybe I’m getting jaded. I go into a season thinking ‘oh this chick will kick ass’ and see her go in three episodes.
Maybe I’m transplanting some of the jaded-ness onto Ashley. I dunno.
She says enough right things to think ‘oh yeah’, but there’s a few red flags to make you think ‘oooohhhh, is she gonna blow it by getting pissed at the wrong person at the wrong time’.
One thing in her favor that makes me like her a lot though: She’s the first of this crew to have a healthy dislike for Russell the Dick™.
So that’s a plus in her favor.
I’d like to think she’s gonna do well, but I just dunno. Could go far, but could go early.
