Julie Wolfe
Stimpy's Take:
Token older woman number two, and this one looks like she could kick anyone’s ass.
And, I mean that literally.
Outrigger canoeing and firefighting has given this lady some serious upper body strength from the looks of things.
And while that bodes well, she lists her one of her pet peeves as laziness.
Oh my dear, you are probably gonna encounter some of that, and not everyone out there may be as driven as you to get shit done.
And, how often have we seen token older woman who wants to get shit done, get pissed at the younger lazy folks and thereby alienating herself from them?
More than a few times dear readers.
Toss in the fact that she describes herself as hard-headed and outspoken, and perhaps you see why I’m getting a skosh concerned for her chances.
Those are not traits that help a person get to the end.
HOW-ever, it’s almost an interesting dichotomy where she also lists one of her pet peeves as ‘bullies’, and yet she’s also one of the few people out there with anything positive to say about Russell the Dick™.
I don’t even KNOW how to analyze that one.
But, to just look on it at the surface, she appreciates the fact that The Dick™ played the game, and isn’t overly concerned with how he did, but he succeeded.
Well, for the most part.
That does bode well for Julie. If she can take that kinda mindset into things, and follow a similar (albeit more SOCIAL) path, she may do well.
But then she goes and compares herself to Ashley from China.
Oh. My. Holy. God.
At least compare yourself to someone who made the merge, or yer not giving us much to go on here, Julie.
Now, there is another plus. Julie’s in it for the money, not the experience.
That’s good. The real question is, will Julie be driven enough to do what’s necessary to win the money? Even if it means getting her hands dirty?
I dunno about that. I’m not quite getting that vibe.
What I am getting is more of ‘I’m here to impress the shit outta people with my strength and my work ethic, and use that to help get me to the end, where hopefully people realize how much I NEED the money’.
(Buzzer mp3)
Ooooh, I’m sorry Julie, but your answer was incorrect.
Yes, you may find some juries willing to award the million based on need back home, but for the most part, they’re gonna go on one of two criteria:
1) Whom do I hate the least/Whom has screwed me over the least?
Or.
2) Who played the better game and DESERVES to win based on that and not some sort of need from back home?
‘Cause as my man Earl from Fiji said in his arguments to the jury, when faced with a question about whether or not he ‘needed’ the money more than the other two finalists; Earl quite simply said: Hey, we all NEED a million dollars’.
And, remember folks, that man won 9-0-0.
That leads to another problem with Julie. I can see her stressing how much she needs the money, and anyone out there worried enough that the forming jury could award based on ‘need’ (and other factors if Julie comes across as nice enough), she’ll probably get jettisoned before even getting close to the end.
Julie could conceivably get tied into an alliance and end up winning as being the lesser of the evils, or the nicest person in the finals, but I think that’s a long shot.
It’s more likely she’ll either go early because she’s ostracized herself from the others a bit too much, or get past the merge because of her abilities, but not even sniff the finals.
