Russell Hantz (36)
Hometown: Dayton, Texas
Occupation: Oil Company Owner

Russell Hantz’s personality speaks for itself when he proudly displays a missing tooth that he refuses to fix! This married father of four is visually memorable. Standing tall at only 5’6”, he is built like a brick house with a bald head. At 200 pounds of pure muscle, Russell’s solid figure and sharp tongue has helped him carve out a multi-million dollar business in the oil-tanking industry.

A huge SURVIVOR fan, this self-made man built his business from scratch by working hard, speaking his mind and stepping on anyone who got in his way. Russell won’t apologize for his style of game play either saying, “I’m not going out there to make friends. I’m just not doing it. But everybody is going to think I’m their best friend, because I’m just such a lovable character.”

Russell can’t wait to get in the competition and show “these morons how it’s done” and he “plans to play the game dirtier, smarter and more cunning than anyone can imagine.” It is those skills that have allowed him to achieve his biggest accomplishment in life and that is being able to provide for his family.

Russell is married with four children and currently resides in Dayton, Texas. His birth date is October 10th.

Stimpy’s Thoughts:
Every season, there’s one contestant who claims that they’re going to show up and doing bigger, badder and better than anyone has done before.

And yet, if you ask people like myself to list the best winners of the game, two names that get tossed around are Hatch and Heidik.  Folks, that’s the season one winner and the season five winner.

This is installment nineteen.

So, how many of those prophecies came true?

Yeah, so that immediately causes me some concern.

Now there’s a chance Russell could pull it off, but I wouldn’t be on it.

That being said, if he’s got any chance in hell, he’s got to rethink his whole ‘I’m not out there to make friends’ spiel.

While I totally agree with that sentiment, you’ve got to at least make them think that you’re friends, and just being a ‘lovable character’ might not be enough to cut it.

Going into this game with the ‘I’m not here to make friends’ thought process isn’t the worst thing in the world, but you should at least be open to the possibility, because it can come in handy if you can keep your eye on the prize.

Just look back at Micronesia .  Again, dumb-ass Ozzy was stunned that Parvati would throw away their friendship by voting him out.  Whereas Parvati didn’t view it as ending the friendship, rather she was eliminating a threat that stood between her and the prize at the end.

Friends are nice, but a million dollars is also nice.  And, chances are if you have a million dollars you can get new friends.

So, while I applaud Russell for his convictions in that regard, because they can be a necessary tool to win this game, his complete devaluing of what benefit ‘friends’ can be in this game is a bit concerning.

Not to mention all those prophecies about just how damn good he’s gonna be.

That’s always a red flag.

However, it should be noted that Russell just may be that best villain ever that the producers are promising us, 'cause he does seem like he has the ability to be a world-class prick.
