You would think a big strong man like Brook would have made it much farther. He's a hockey player and looked like he had it made. Unfortunately for Brook, in the game of Survivor, nothing is as it seems.
Before we look at why Brook lost, we must first take a look at why the guys lost the challenge to begin with. In my opinion it was because the women were mad. If I was a woman and I would have had to sit thru that ceremony where the men got all the attention and I got none, I would have been ticked. I think it banded them together and made them want to win even more.
I am not sure why men have such a hard time on the balance beam, but they do.
It was the kiss of death for Ryan in the Amazon. Chris was much like Ryan, he couldn't get across and it almost cost him the whole game. I had written in my spoilers that Brook was going to be the first to go but there were a couple of times on Thursday night that I was sweating. For a few moments I thought I would be wrong and Chris would be the first one gone.
I think one of the major problems this team has is they are not all on the same page. You had three people receive votes. Brook could have won but he made a few critical mistakes. The first mistake he made was telling Lea what he and the two John's were up too. Did he really think Lea was going to sit by and let the young studs vote off the old guys one by one? Right now Lea and Chris are running the game. They got it together and then worked together to attract the votes needed to get Brook out of there.
If Brook had been smart, he would have gone after Chad or Travis's vote. Both of those guys are younger and could have made the difference. I think because of Chad's disability and Travis's redneck attitude they felt they didn't need them. Brook was sure he had both of the John's, Brady, and Lea on his side. Boy was he wrong.
Brady of course went out on his own and voted for Rory. I am not sure why he did that but since Rory is now aligned with the Lea and Chris, this could put a huge target on Brady's back. He joins the John's on the list of the most vulnerable next time they go to tribal counsel.
Hopefully the women get smart on their first vote and get rid of some of those annoying younger girls. Is anyone else already sick of Eliza? I hope Twilla, Scout, Ami, and Leann band together and grab one more lady and vote Ms. Eliza out. See you next week for more spoiler and commentary.
