As I was watching Dolly last night at tribal council, I got a weird sense of de ja vu. I swore I had I heard that same speech before. Oh yeah, it was Christy from season seven. She also kept playing both sides of the fence and got herself booted. Like Dolly, she came into tribal council full of herself and it got her booted off.
Dolly did the same thing last night. If you are going to play both sides of the fence you have got to be a little more slick. To come to tribal council and announce that you are the deciding factor is like putting another nail in your coffin. If Eliza wasn't sure about her vote for Dolly before that speech, I bet she was after.
In this game you have to lie. I don't care what anyone says. If you can't lie and manipulate, then you shouldn't be there. In this game nice guys really do finish last. No winner of Survivor can ever with a straight face say that they never lied at any time during the game. It is the nature of the beast. Dolly was just way to nice to play this game. She should have picked an alliance and stuck with it.
Dolly's exit will surely bring about some new tensions to the ladies team. Mia, Lisa, and Julie now have huge targets on their back thanks to Eliza. Eliza however has an even bigger target on her. The older ladies don't really care for her. She was just a means to an end for them. The younger girls are now all upset with her. I think Eliza will be joining Dolly at the Losers Lodge faster than she thinks.
