Survivor One World: Jonas Otsuji - Stimpy's Take, Interview, Bio And More
By Reality TV Calendar Senior Staff Writer Stimpy
January 26, 2012

Jonas Otsuji
Stimpy's Take:
Oh wow. This ain’t good people.

One look at the sushi chef, and no one’s gonna think he’s gonna be physical force.

He lists ‘eating’ as a hobby. Nope, that’s a necessity of life, not a hobby.

His pet peeve is people who constantly complain. Ever seen this show, Jonas?

He’s out there to prove to his family that he can do it, with the million bucks that comes with winning as almost an afterthought.

He really stresses how he can cook, make shelter, build a fire. Y’know all those traits that are nice to have, but hardly the basis for a winning strategy.

Now, Jonas does have a strategy.

None.

Yup, he plans on going with the flow.

Not the worst thing in the world.

He at least seems aware that there is a social aspect to the game, but I don’t know if he realizes how important it really is. Or can be.

Likening himself to Jud (aka Fabio) isn’t the worst thing in the world, but if it’s just because he’s care-free on the outside, but an intense competitor on the inside, then it’s a comparison that I don’t really give a shit about.

You’d think someone who’s just gone through bankruptcy would be really motivated to win the prize, but I don’t get that from Jonas.

I don’t even get that he really gets the game. I mean, he certainly seems to understand it in theory, but practice is hugely different,

Gotta admit here, I don’t foresee good things, but hey, I’ve been wrong before.

If Jonas gets in with a solid alliance and rides it for awhile he could go deep. But, in all honesty, I’m a skosh worried about his ‘go with the flow’ non-strategy of his.

If there ever happens to be a power struggle it can be tough to figure out which way the flow is going.

Ask Dolly from Vanuatu how much fun it is to be in the middle of things, and not make a definitive solution.

I certainly don’t see Jonas being a force in this game.

Like I said, he may under-the-radar his way deep, or he could be gone so quick that when someone mentions Jonas from Survivor One World, everyone will go: Who?

Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
