Previously on Survivor, ten of Survivor’s biggest fans arrived in Micronesia to fulfill their wildest dreams. To their surprise, they were greeted by and pitted against ten of Survivor’s favorites from past seasons.
As soon as they arrived, they immediately competed for a chance at individual immunity. Yau-Man pushed bad boy Jonny Fairplay out of the way to win individual immunity for himself, and then helped Kathy find the other individual immunity idol. On the first night at camp, the fans struggled to build a shelter and find food. Meanwhile, the favorites immediately built a strong shelter, found food, and even got fire thanks to Yau-Man’s glass skills.
At the first immunity challenge, the favorites were overconfident and were beaten by the rookie fans. Back at camp, the favorites split into two groups. The first group consisted of Ami, Yau-Man, Jonathan and Eliza. The second group was made up of two couples – Amanda and Ozzy, and Parvati and James. This left Jonny and Cirie as the swing votes. Surprisingly, both foursomes attempted to bring Jonny into their group. At first, it seemed as though Jonny was playing both sides. As the day went on, he told the tribe that he wanted to return home to his pregnant girlfriend. At tribal council, the vote was unanimous, and Jonny Fairplay was sent packing.
Tonight’s episode begins at the Malakal (favorites) camp after tribal council. Eliza tells us that she was worried that Jonny Fairplay had something up his sleeve at tribal council, and that she would be the one who would be sent home. Jonathan says that Jonny leaving screws up his plans, but he still thinks that his tribe can win challenges.
The next morning, Airai (fans) decides that it’s time to get organized around camp. Everyone gathers around to try to prioritize the chores, but instead everyone talks at once. Since they won the immunity challenge, they were given flint, so the first order of business is to start a fire. Even with the flint, they can’t seem to get a fire going. Two of the girls try first, get a flame, but it immediately goes out. The one of the guys tries and can’t even get a flame. The day wears on, with no success at the fire, despite constant attempts. I’m not sure what they’re doing wrong, but the piece of flint has worn down to half of its original size. To make matters worse, everyone is standing around watching the fire failure, and nobody is attending to the nonexistent shelter.
