So You Think You Can Dance 6: Immature Brats Saved By Immature Voters
Commentary and Rankings by Joseph Braverman

What a crazy week it was on So You Think You Can Dance, which resulted in yet another unfair elimination.
I mean, let’s get right down to it – it was obvious to everyone that Mollee and Nathan should have been the pair packing their bags this week.
While last week Nathan showed huge potential in his Bollywood, he completely sank in his salsa with Mollee. The energy and feeling the pair put into the routine was way off, and their dancing was amateur at best.
I was actually surprised that Nathan performed worse than Mollee since I believed him to be a better technician.
Even more upsetting, like Nigel mentioned, was when Nigel criticized Nathan, Nathan gave a cocky response that he thought his dance was “hot!” Way to learn Nathan, way to learn.
However, I think this pair could have been in the bottom if Nigel and Co. didn’t come across like such vultures towards the pair. I mean, yeah say it was bad and move on, but capitalizing on how terrible the pair was most likely made their fans just vote even harder to protect the pair from possible elimination.
I think Nigel needs to be careful not to come across as an overbearing, grumpy old lecturer if he wants things to operate smoothly. By doing so, he is practically begging Nathan and Mollee’s immature fans to vote in their direction.
Honestly, the pair should have gone home this week because that was the single worst Latin routine I have ever seen performed on this stage. I hope the pair is not as lucky next week, because we know the judges will be itching to get rid of them.
However, this is not the first time where we have seen a contestant be continuously protected by the audience.
Speaking of Season Five Nigel, don’t we remember fan favorite Evan, who never really performed amazing, climb upward in the competition because of a crazy fan base? I mean, the show is America’s Favorite Dancers, and like it or not, the judges really have to respect America’s decision.
Respect and like are two different things, so perhaps if the judges want Mollee and Nathan out, they should go about criticizing them in a way that doesn’t seem overbearing or personally insulting.
That’s just my two cents, but I wholly agree with Nigel’s sentiments in regard to this partnership. They are two pair of brats who most likely have an immature fan base who will vote for them no matter what.
I’m not a judge, I’m a commentator, so I think I have more freedom of personal opinions than the judges have to express. They, on the other hand, must be professionally critical without coming across rude or overbearing, which is what I think Nigel has started to become, and it has produced a backlash.
Ok, before I go into my thoughts on the actual elimination, let me discuss the rest of the couples this week, with the exception of Mollee and Nathan, whom you already know I detest and have discussed their beyond-horrid routine.
I actually felt Karen and Kevin’s.....
