The Amazing Race: Meghan and Cheyne On Top, Others Flop

Well it looks like we’re finally starting another episode of the Amazing Race on time! Will tonight be the a non-elimination leg? I guess we’ll see!
Last week after bickering since the get go Lance and Keri finally reached their end on the race. Tonight Mika and Canaan and Maria and Tiffany could both be in trouble as the weaker teams have finally left and now they’re going to have to step up.
Here’s how the teams did this leg:
Meghan and Cheyne- At the roadblock Cheyne had a little trouble getting to the boat on his dingy since he wasn’t going too fast. They finally head to the detour and have to assemble a hookah, which seems pretty complicated. Their first attempt fails and they start over. Finally they complete the task and make their way to the Atlantis resort, where they have to go down a six story slide. At the slide they both went down quickly and travel to a beach nearby to the pitstop making them team number one!
Maria and Tiffany- Maria makes Tiffany do another roadblock, and she doesn’t do too badly. They also choose to weigh gold for the detour. Sam and Dan are at the detour and work with them to figure it out. It looks like they have fun going down the slide and finish in second place.
Sam and Dan- Sam and Dan catch up to the globetrotters at the roadblock and pretty much catch pass them after they open their briefcase first. They choose to weigh gold at the detour. At the detour they have a calculator to use, which makes it easier. Eventually they finish with Maria and Tiffany. They head down the slide and finish in third behind Maria and Tiffany.
Brian and Ericka- Brian also had a little trouble at the roadblock since he really hasn’t rowed before. They choose the other detour called gold where they have to weigh gold, but it takes them awhile to realize that the prize per ounce changes every minute so they have to be fast. After a few tries they switch to making a hookah, but things don’t get much better there. Eventually they get it and head to the slide where Brian is afraid of heights and Ericka is afraid of water. They both get down and finish fourth.
Gary and Matt- They’re getting close on this race. At the roadblock Gary finally makes it to the boat after rowing in an interesting manner. They choose to assemble the hookah for the detour. At the detour Matt has to sit down due to the heat. Luckily they finish and also head to the slide. They said the slide felt good since it was so hot, and finish fifth.
Flight Time and Big Easy- The globetrotters have a little difficulty finding the roadblock. Big Easy rides the dingy to the boat at the roadblock, and has a little trouble due to his size. He doesn’t even use his paddles, but his hands. Big easy has a hard time opening his briefcase to get the clue, allowing other teams to pass. Finally they get the brief case open and head to the detour and choose to make hookahs, but switch to weighing gold. They are able to finish it and head to the slide. At the slide they catch up to Mika and Canaan and psyche Mika out leading them to finish sixth.
Mika and Canaan- Canaan heads to the boat, while the globetrotters are still trying to open their briefcase. Eventually they even pass the globetrotters, and they started last. They choose to make hookahs at the detour. After staying calm they manage to finish, but once they find out about the slide Mika isn’t too excited about the slide. When they finally get there Mika freaks out and doesn’t want to go down, but Canaan tries to force her which doesn’t help. The globetrotters arrive and they have two minutes to go down, but they psyche Mika out and eventually they have to let them go. Eventually because of this they finish last and are eliminated from the race.
Mika and Canaan weren’t able to get down the waterslide quick enough leading to their elimination.
