The Amazing Race: Who Do We Like And Who Annoys The Will To Live Out Of Us

What if they reproduce?
On The Amazing Race, Michael and Louie live to fight another day.
But it was only one more day. They gave it a valiant effort but the two hour deficit in the beginning plus the speed bump was too much to overcome to beat the brothers.
Like last week it was again really two races. One pair was racing for the top and one pair was racing to avoid the bottom.
Almost everyone had exactly the same goal: Don’t be last.
The Almost is Caite. Three and one half teams have a goal of staying in the race. Caite has the goal to show the world she isn’t ignorant.
OK. Here I go. Brent and Caite ran a good leg. They ran a good leg last week. All in all they are good racers.
In fact, they might be great racers except for the fact that Caite is so self-centered, self-absorbed, and totally ego-centric as to be running the race by herself. She, of course, needs a fall-guy. Someone at whom she can yell. Someone she can boss around. Someone who will stand in her shadow and be the wind under her wings. Bad analogy? Yes. Erase that one.
Brent is just there. She picked him out of the casting lineup at the modeling agency, I’ll bet. Tall and dark to showcase her pretty blondness.
And, Caite, you are more ignorant than you should be for the positions to which you aspire. Read, girl. Go home and read. Read the paper. Read books. Read current event blogs. Do not read tweets or text. They will mess with your ability to spell or write actual language.
You are probably not stupid. You haven’t made any mistakes in this race that are attributable to stupid. You have made mistakes based on inexperience and arrogance.
One more thing, Caite. Keep hanging with Brent if he will have you. He is either not the sharpest knife in the drawer or else is so frighteningly besotted with you as to have numbed all his brain cells.
With Brent trotting behind you like a happy Labrador retriever, you will always look good. If you start hanging with someone who expects you to live up to his standards of maturity, social awareness and intellectual currency, you are going to be left hanging. But, maybe you aspire to being only eye-candy. That’s cool too. The world needs pretty things to look at, but be sure to keep your mouth shut at all times.
Did you catch that Caite calls her team “Team Great Caite”? I did not have captioning turned on, so you are stuck with what I think I heard. How self-centered is that? Shudder.
Deep breath.
So, the race is down to the Cowboys.....
