Hey everyone, hope you guys all had a great week!
It’s time for another episode of the Amazing Race, but with a twist…the teams will be going back to the World War I era.
It should be interesting.
Last leg, Louie and Michael were able to overtake Jet and Cord and finish first at the pitstop for the first time in the whole race. On the flip side, Jordan and Jeff ran into trouble with a bad cab driver and arrived last at the pitstop, but were spared elimination. So this leg they will have to do a speedbump.
At the beginning of this leg, the teams were taken by bus southwest to France. For the first task the teams had to drive to a bakery and buy a baguette, which contained their next clue. All the teams had no problem, except Jordan and Jeff who couldn’t get out of the starting town, and on top of that they were the last to start!
Then the teams traveled to a detour, which revolved around World War I. The teams either had to crawl under a wire fence or translate a message in Morse code. Louie and Michael were the first to arrive there and finished while Joe and Heidi and Steve and Allie were arriving, even though Louie almost died afterwards from being out of shape. The two then headed to get their next clue and then the first blind u-turn was revealed. They chose to u-turn Joe and Heidi since they heard them earlier on the bus talking about how strong of a team they were.
Joe was already struggling with his knee and when they saw they were u-turned they just look devastated. The other teams began to arrive as well and all of them chose to crawl under the fence. Jordan was bugging Dan the whole time, while Brandy complained the whole time and said that crawling under the fence was for “stupid people.” Brent and Caite arrived while the lesbians were leaving and didn’t seem to be too thrilled to see them. Jordan and Jeff had to complete their speedbump before this, which involved fixing part of a trench. Eventually they finished and moved on to the detour.
Then the teams had to bike to the next pitstop. This is where the troubles started to happen. Joe and Heidi had trouble deciphering the code; Jordan and Jeff were a little slow doing the detour due to Jordan’s big hat and sock, and Brent and Caite forgot to pick up their clue. When Brent and Caite arrived at the detour they had to go back and get the clue.
It came back to Jordan and Jeff and Joe and Heidi, and…Jordan and Jeff came out on top! Joe and Heidi just gave up; they didn’t even try to figure out what the clue was. I felt so bad for them, especially when Phil and his crew had to go into the trenches in the pitch dark and tell them they were eliminated. I hope everyone is now gunning for Louie and Michael…I know I am.
Well, next leg it looks like Brent and Caite encounter some more trouble, but for now here’s how the remaining seven teams rank:
