The Amazing Race: No Show This Week So Let's Look At Their Chances

My pick.
The last time we saw the Racers on The Amazing Race - Unfinished Business version – they were in Kolkuta, India.

There is a pause in the proceedings for us because of special programming on the television.

I’m going to take advantage of this break to discuss my very own opinions of the racing teams.

First is Luke and Margie. I’m so sorry they are out of the race. I gave them a very hard time in their last season. This time I take it all back.

Got thoughts? Post them at the end.

Going around the world where you are frequently in places where you do not speak the local language is tough. Going through life where you are almost always in places where you cannot communicate at all would be, for me, torture.

That Luke gets frustrated is understandable. He’s an emotional person but this season he has shown that he can handle his frustration like an adult.

Until we got to last week’s four-hour long marathon Taste Test, they were racing well. I will miss them.

We now need to come to an agreement on my definition of racing well.

In my world, “racing well” means being consistent. Try hard, listen carefully, pay attention and don’t let unimportant things get in your way.

Based on that, who is racing well? The sisters. Who? Yep, the sisters. The ones who are quiet and have no drama dragging along in their wake. The ones who have, apparently, agreed to not disagree on this race. The ones who, when they make an error, cuss briefly and set about repairing the situation.

Because Keisha and Jen function like a well-oiled machine, we hardly ever see them. I think the danger signal for these women will be the episode where they suddenly show up in front of our faces.

They may win. They are definitely top three material at the rate they are going.

Who is getting lucky? Well, that would be almost everyone else.

Like last time, the Cowboys are good at challenges. Well, at least as long as the challenge doesn’t involve code-breaking. Yes, Jet, I’m looking at you.

They also have the most ridiculous amount of trouble getting from one place to another. Even when they get in a cab where the driver knows the destination, they get turned around on the sidewalk after they grab their gear. For a fan, it’s a frustrating sadness.

Two teams have only one strong player. Justin and Gary are pretty decent racers by themselves. They make good decisions and are supportive of their flawed partners.

Like Margie translating for Luke.....
