The Amazing Race: The Tower, Dancing, Rabbits, Butter And Psycho Dad

Gone. Good.
The Amazing Race continues from the shore of Lake Malawi.
We are getting down to the end. The previews say we are headed north for a change of climate.
Tommy and Andy continue to dominate.
They are good racers and good friends and do not hesitate to be humble about having had some of their top finishes be the result of someone else’s error.
And besides, they are pretty darned likable. If the biggest complaint against them is their refusal to step aside and let the team behind them take the win, they are just fine in my book.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
And memo to Cindy: How much would that first place win have meant to you if you had to choke down the knowledge that it was a pity win?
You didn’t even know what the prize was when you were begging for a gift.
Not impressive, Miss Princess.
As a team, Princess Cindy and her traveling companion Ernie are racing pretty well.
They must not be counted out. I dislike her attitude of entitlement but that doesn’t alter their abilities.
This last leg was a great example of “except for”. Except for their barreling out of the gate to look for the Jamaica shop rather than looking before they barreled, they would have taken first place and the prize without breaking a sweat. Tiny error. Big cost.
The Grands, Bill and Cathi are amazing.
They are very strong for their ages and after all those years together probably finishing each other’s sentences, they don’t have the communication issues of some of the other teams.
In the beginning they had some serious problems with over-thinking.
They were sure that the clue was more complex when it wasn’t. They were sure there were hidden meanings when there weren’t.
And, when there was complexity they didn’t pay attention. But, they are now doing much better. Can they keep it up? Who knows.
Marcus has calmed down. That’s good. Amani has turned out to be stronger than I thought and with Marcus more calm, they are doing better.
