Future All Stars?
The Amazing Race 20 is almost done. The network is loudly proclaiming only two more episodes to go!

For us, or at least for me, I’ll be sorry to see it end. It’s been an exciting ride and with five teams left, the final results are tough to predict.

My heart-favorite team from Kentucky is very possibly at the end of their road.

Bopper has a bad knee. Mark took himself to the very edge of heat exhaustion last week. They were saved by a non-elimination but that means they have a speed bump.

Got thoughts? Post them at the end.

And although India is a big place, it’s not known if there will be a transportation bunch up to assist them with catching up.

I’m trying to not be dismal ahead of the events, but it is unlikely they can bounce back from all these impediments.

Sigh.

The other four teams are a toss-up.

Team Army has been racing wonderfully in spite of personal conflicts.

The Border Patrol has been racing well in spite of some serious lapses of judgment.

Vanessa and Ralph, are the luckiest pair to ever race. Maybe not the luckiest, but in the running. No matter how badly they do, there is always someone worse.

Then there is Team Sparkle. They are like Vanessa and Ralph but, when focused, are better racers. Their obstacle to overcome is Sparkle’s extreme emotionalism.

That will be showcased tonight with the head-shaving challenge. It happened before and the female racer who was very attached to her beautifully braided hair, sucked it up and did it.

She looked beautiful afterward, wound up liking the look and the team won the race.

I’m not sure Sparkle has that sort of internal self-confidence to let go of her expensive extensions. She’d rather look like a Vegas showgirl than Sinead O’Connor.

But I’m jumping way ahead of things.

We are in India.

The pre-caps give us an ultra-short version of Mark’s Dance for Your Life marathon, ending with Phil saying “non-elimination”.
