We break for commercial with Sparkle crying into her hands.

Big Brother fans, take a peek. Is that a real cry or one of Sparkle’s on-camera cries? You decide.

And folks, I think Brendon may be growing up before our very eyes. Who knew?

Sparkle says she cannot do it. Brendon, rather than trying to convince her, says “It’s your decision” and leaves to get the cab saying let’s go and not waste time.

So much for the big lead up to the drama.

Now she wants Brendon to make her feel better about it.

Girlfriend, do the math. If you had just shaved off $500 worth of extensions, you had a terrific shot at winning this race. Even after taxes you can buy a lot of extensions with a million bucks.

Sigh.

Weirdly, it’s Ralph and Vanessa who get to the mat and matting place first.

The clue says it’s a Roadblock and “who is at the end of their rope”?

Oh wow. First the racer has to spin coconut fiber to make forty feet of rope. Then four large bundles of rope must be wound onto a single spindle. THEN the clue will be given.

Watching the two local women spinning loose fiber into a twisted strand using just the thumb and forefinger, makes it look easy.

NOT.

Expect frustration.

Ralph starts out. He picks a mentor and dons an apron which holds the loose fiber. There is a machine that starts the twisting. It’s his job to guide the fiber so that it is even and uniform.

The first thing is his apron comes asunder and dumps his fiber.

On the sidelines, Vanessa is being positive.

Team Army has arrived and Major Dave will spin the rope.

The Border Patrol has arrived. Art will spin the rope.

JJ says “yeah, Art’s good at that.” Based on what, JJ? Does he spin wool in the cold lonely nights along the border? Giggle.

We are back in the hostel with Mark and Bopper. Mark is feeling good. Getting rehydrated will do that for you. Bopper says “two old dogs are not givin’ up.” You supply the accent.

At the rope spinning, Ralph is.....
