The Amazing Race: Team Army Deserves The Win Because They Earned It Yell At Your TV Recap and Commentary by RTVC Senior Staff Writer Kathleen May 7, 2012
8 wins in 12 legs!
The Amazing Race 20 is almost done. The finish line is 120 viewer-minutes from now.
I can quit worrying about Mark and Bopper. They are safe and sound in sequester somewhere. I hope they get a couple of day’s rest.
I also hope that this exposure on TV prompts some organization somewhere to step in and see about assisting Bopper’s family with his child’s medical expenses.
Now we have our final four and, after last week, I’m just mean enough to hope that Vanessa comes in last. I kind of like Ralph, but Vanessa the Mouth is just too too much.
Rachel “Sparkle” Reilly comes across as mouthy, but it’s mostly drama born of insecurity. Vanessa is just mean for the sake thereof. And she seems to think it makes her look important.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
I never dreamed I would be siding with Sparkle on anything, but I am. I hope they come in second.
Why not first? Because Sparkle as a winner is just a bit insufferable. Second will work nicely.
But let’s get on with it. We have a long way to go tonight and drama has been promised.
First , of course, we have to wade through the high-lights of how we got to where we are.
That would be the nice guys who were Team Kentucky.
We also get to slog through the low-lights which include the airport blow up between Team Sparkle and a mob of bullies.
We see the fallout from the U-Turns, or lack thereof, and the breaking up of supposed friendships between teams.
During the opening credits we get, as usual, to see the teams we have dropped and forgotten.
They will show up again later tonight at the finish line. It’s amazing how little impact some of them had on this race.
We are still in Cochin, India, when the eleventh leg begins. Major Dave and Rachel are departing at 1:51 pm.
The teams will fly to Hiroshima, Japan. This should mean an all-on-the-same-plane-together moment so departure times are probably meaningless.
When teams get to Hiroshima they must make their way to Mijima Island where they will get a clue.
