The Mole
You Need To Eat A Little Bit Of Food Over There
Episode Three
Recap by Logan Huffman
June 19,2008
Previously on 'The Mole', Kristen and Mark managed to earn exemptions, and after Bobby ran out of steam during a soccer challenge, Paul unleashed on him. Meanwhile, trying to defend Bobby, Paul and Victoria got into a fight. During the pig challenge, Bobby once again tired out, forcing Kristen to push him around town in a wheelbarrow, while Paul found an exemption. At the second execution, Liz became The Mole's second victim, and was executed from the game, while Nicole threatened to kill Paul in his sleep.
The episode begins with Paul in disbelief that Nicole was threatening his life. Nicole says that Paul is going down, because men like Paul who are overly egotistical and judgmental really get under her skin. Paul thinks that Nicole might say he needs anger management, but she needs mouth management, because all she does is run her mouth. That was the worst comeback ever. Nicole says it's too bad for Paul, because she is there to stay.
Today finds the players back in Santiago again. Paul is talking to Ali and Craig, and is still going on about Nicole threatening him and covering up all of the forensic evidence. Ali is surprised that Nicole brought up death threats. Paul tells us that everyone was concerned about what Nicole said, and he felt like he could play into their fears a little bit more. Paul tells them that he was really scared last night and couldn't sleep. Paul tells us that he is going to use any advantage he can to throw them off of their games. Ali tells us that Nicole bothers her, adding that while she believes she worked her in medical school, she still thinks that she is nuts.
We learn that over the past two weeks, Mark, Clay, and Bobby have been working together in a coalition. Mark tells them that it is important that they are all on the same page. Clay prepares to leave the room, telling Mark and Bobby to let him know if they need him. Mark tells us that he and Clay have a coalition with Bobby, and they have all agreed to share information to figure out who The Mole is. Bobby says that Ali is so hard to figure out, because you can't tell if she is being genuine with you or not. Bobby tells us that he trusts Mark and Clay, and they all have each other's backs regardless.
Ali tells Nicole that Paul was really pissed when she threatened him, and kept going on about it. Nicole kind of laughs it off, saying that she only said that to piss him off, as that is the only way to get under his skin. Nicole tells us that they are playing a game, so she wanted to say the worst thing she could possibly say to someone. Nicole tells Ali that because she is strong and doesn't back down, people view her as an enemy. Nicole tells us that she doesn't feel anything about Paul at all; this is a game and she's focused.
The players meet Jon for their next challenge, where he is biting into an apple. That was a clue to The Mole's identity in a previous season. Hmm. Jon points out that some of them aren't really getting along, and that includes a death threat and some trust issues.
