The Voice Recap: The Boys Have A Bad Night As Two Go Home Recap and Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Sharon-anne Osenenko April 24, 2012
His performance was about the same, he didn’t pull anything amazing out, and he’s up against Cheesa, Jamar, and Juliet Simms.
I don’t see this ending well for my baby seal.
Next we get treated to a performance by Cee Lo and the rest of Goodie Mob doing their new single, Fight to Win.
Carson is way too excited to be introducing Goodie Mob. He wasn’t this excited about the Biebs last week.
Oh wow. They have light up teeth. That’s awesome! My kids need a new night light. I wonder if I can get Cee Lo to come sit in their bedroom and smile all night for me.
They’re all wearing shiny gold suits and their breast plates are blinding me.
Adam’s digging the performance. He’s so hot. Did I mention that yet tonight? Christina cheers. Where is Blake? Sleeping?
Well, next is Tony Lucca, and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens here tonight, considering how Christina ripped him up last time.
Adam says he doesn’t disagree with Christina, and that he won’t fault her for her honesty.
He says that instead of trying to bury his Mickey Mouse Club roots, Tony should maybe confront them and embrace them.
If he comes out singing M-I-C-K-E-Y, I’m leaving.
Adam says that Christina’s little passive aggressive jabs helped him coach Tony, because they’re going to push back.
We don’t know what he’s singing and Carson doesn’t tell us when he introduces him, either.
The music begins and, holy shit. He’s singing Hit Me Baby One More Time by Britney Spears.
Find this one online, guys. It’s worth it. He does this great rock twist on the song, and also, watching Christina’s reaction is pretty awesome.
The crowd is hugely excited and they won’t shut up to listen to the coaches’ comments. Carson says “That was like Bieber loud.” Indeed.
Christina suggests getting Britney and Justin up on stage to have a MMC reunion. She says she enjoyed it and that it was fun and different.
Blake says that was “really smart.” And I have to agree.
Adam starts out with “God, I love you.” I think he’s talking to Tony and not praying.
He says that instead of trying to dodge the MMC thing, he embraced it and he is proud of him.
