The Voice Recap: Cee Lo And America Produce A Shocking Elimination Recap and Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Sharon-anne Osenenko May 2, 2012
Gonna have to eat
the wig.
Last night’s episode of The Voice gave us all kinds of great performances, which is what happens when you get down to the semifinals.
Tonight, we get to see who has to leave and who gets to compete with Jamar for the top prize next week.
All the contestants are on stage with Carson, who tells us to take a look at our coaches.
Adam’s in a black T shirt. Cee Lo’s got on a black suit with red accessories.
Queen Christina’s wearing black, as well, with a sparkly headband.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
Blake’s in a shiny silver jacket. WTF? Didn’t he get the memo?
Carson is so obviously reading a teleprompter as he reminds us there are no second chances tonight. You’re either safe or you’re not.
Then he says, “Let’s look at last night’s performances.” Okay.
I wrote about all this last night, so you can go back and read that if you want.
Does anyone know why Carson has a gold 6 on his lapel? He goes to the coaches for opening statements.
Blake’s feeling sick. So am I, looking at that jacket. He says it sucks, but it’s great. What does that even mean? Besides that he’s been drinking before the show again.
Christina says you can’t compare Lindsey and Chris. She says tonight is really exciting, but also sad.
Cee Lo is uncomfortable and says it’s very awkward, but it’s the nature of the show.
Adam says it’s hard for all of them, and they’ve seen tremendous improvement with everyone. He thinks this is a really crappy part of the show for them.
Carson introduces Dia Frampton with Kid Cudi singing Don’t Kick the Chair.
There are chairs stacked all over the place. Is kicking a chair really, like, a thing? People do this? I like the song and I see what all the Dia hype was about.
After the commercial, we’re going to find out who’s moving on from Team Christina, Lindsey Pavao, or Chris Mann. Egads. My tummy is in knots.
Oh, but first, we have to deal with Christina Milian. She’s with the final four of last season. I don’t know any of these people, because I didn’t watch last season.
