The Voice Recap: Cee Lo And America Produce A Shocking Elimination Recap and Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Sharon-anne Osenenko May 2, 2012
Carson tells us, basically, how the scoring for tonight is going to work. Last night, each of the coaches had 100 points to divide between their remaining two team members however they saw fit.
Those scores will be combined with America’s votes to determine who moves forward and who leaves the stage in disgrace.
We get to see a recap of Chris and Lindsey’s performances again.
Christina says they are both winners and she knows this is not the end of the road for either of them. She gave them each 50 points. That’s what I said I would do!
Clearly, Christina has been peeking at my paper.
Carson asks Team Christina if they are ready to hear the results. Lindsey is ready, Chris says he is not.
Moving on to represent Team Christina in the finals is Chris @#$% Mann.
Lindsey is crying. So am I.
She very gracefully thanks the entire world, and then double checks where she should exit the stage. For the last time.
I really, really hope someone gives her a record deal, even though she didn’t win.
I will seriously miss new music from Lindsey Pavao. And my kids are getting sick of me playing the same five songs over and over on my iPod.
So...Chris Mann. Well okay, then. My consolation is that there is no way he’s going to beat Jamar.
Cee Lo is joining Vicki Martinez on stage to sing her new single, Come Along.
She kind of reminds me of Lady Gaga dressed as a dude.
Cee Lo’s jacket is so long, he looks like the Mayor of Munchkinland.
I see why she was a finalist last season. I dig the song, and the album is out today, if you were wondering.
Next up, Team Adam. We get to see a bit of Katrina and Tony from last night.
On stage, Tony puts his arm around Katrina and smooches her hair.
Adam says both of them make him so happy and he doesn’t want to do this. He says it’s not so much about winning, as it is about using the exposure this show will give you. Yes, that.
Adam allocated his points unevenly, giving Tony a slight edge. Katrina 40, Tony 60.
