The Voice Recap: They Nailed The Final Performance Show, But Who Will Win? Recap and Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Sharon-anne Osenenko May 8, 2012
Could it be?
Here it is, my recap of The Voice final performances. I can’t believe the season is almost over.
I’ll save the mush for tomorrow’s recap, and I’ll give you fair warning so you can skip that part if you hate mush too early on a Wednesday morning. For now, let’s get this show started.
The camera pans across the contestants on stage, all dressed in their finest for these last performances.
Jermaine’s looking dapper in white on white.
Chris is wearing, no surprise, a suit.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
Juliet is in a lovely floor length red gown.
And Tony’s wearing a collared shirt with rolled up sleeves. Did he get The Voice confused with Trading Spaces? Anyone besides me remember that show? No. Okay, then. Moving on.
Carson’s in black on black.
Adam’s been in Blake’s closet again with a plaid shirt.
Cee Lo’s got on a white T-shirt that loudly proclaims he’s got “No Problems.”
Christina is wearing a sparkly bolero and a black shirt that is barely holding her in.
Blake’s in a white shirt with a black vest.
Carson introduces us to everyone. Jermaine’s bow tie is adorably untied. Carson tells us that we hold all the power this week. Our votes alone will determine the winner.
We get some background on each of the four contestants and their trip thus far. We’ve seen most of this already, so just go back and reread the recaps.
Each of the coaches think their contestant should be the winner. Obviously.
Oh! Carson just told me that the coaches are going to duet with their contestants. That is cool! Except I think Chris Mann’s chances just plummeted, as Christina will make this all about her.
Carson brings us back to the here and now by telling Blake he’s one of the biggest country stars on the planet earth, and when Blake thanks him, he says “Well, unfortunately it’s true.”
And no one is laughing. I’d have said he was teasing him, but no one is laughing. Except me, of course.
