The Voice Recap: We Have A Winner And It May Not Be Who You Think Recap and Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Sharon-anne Osenenko May 9, 2012
The top four.
Last night The Voice gave us the longest finale ever!
It was so full of useless filler, I had a few suicidal moments.
I hope they cut back on all this crap next year and make it an hour long instead of two.
Well, let's get to it; the season finale of season two of The Voice. I’m sure we’re all decked out for this most auspicious occasion. I’m wearing a ball gown, in fact.
Carson’s wearing a tie. Adam’s all in black. Cee Lo is in a T-shirt with each member of his team’s name on it.
Christina looks lovely in black sequins, and Blake matches Adam in black on black.
Carson introduces the finalists.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
Tony Lucca bounces out.
Juliet follows in a gorgeous sparkly dress, with a freaking mockingjay pin.
If you haven’t seen the movie or read the Hunger Games, you won’t get the mockingjay thing. Don’t look for an explanation here. I have no idea why she’s wearing it.
Chris Mann’s jacket is hideous. It looks like black flocked wallpaper.
Jermaine Paul’s a study in contrasts with black pants and a hardly buttoned white shirt.
There are going to be a whole ton of performances tonight. Why? Can’t they just tell us who won?
We get a peek at the performances from last night again. Again.
Chris Mann interviews that he was really hoping to touch Christina. I bet.
In the interviews, Cee Lo is holding his rent a cat. Except, no, I don’t think so. I think he’s holding a stuffed animal. Is it possible that he did actually make that wig out of the kitty for hire?
Carson tells us how impressively all the songs from last night performed on iTunes, then he zeros in on the coaches.
He asks Blake what he sees in Jermaine’s future.
Blake says he’s so talented, he can do anything he wants to do. He also talks about how different each of the finalists are.
