Overrated
Wow, the semifinals for The Voice have finally arrived!

It seemed like this season has dragged quite a bit, but maybe that’s because those Battle Rounds seemed to last a lifetime.

There is no question that this season doesn’t quite have the magical spark like last season, especially that final four consisting of Vicki, Beverly, Javier, and the amazing Dia Frampton.

This year, I would humbly beg the producers of the show to let us vote the top four, regardless of the teams they are on, into the finale.

Maybe then, Teams Blake and Christina would go home.

As much as I love Lindsey Pavao, I am obsessed with Katrina Parker, Jamar Rogers, Tony Lucca, and Juliet Simms. I can’t see any two of the four leaving next week.

To think that a boring and slightly overrated contestant like Chris Mann will make the finals puts a damper in the immediate future.

Jermaine Paul is alright, but as a vocalist, he isn’t quite as unique or different than any other R&B voice we hear on the radio.

The remaining four from Teams Cee Lo and Adam rightfully deserved to stay, but how did Chris Mann survive over the vastly-improved Ashley De La Rosa?

Moreover, Erin Willett may have a better singing voice than country girl RaeLynn, but she is not nearly as marketable or entertaining.

I fault the judges and America on both accounts.

I won’t go into too much detail beforehand, so let’s jump right in to some rankings for the final eight contestants.

Again, I’m ranking the top four who I think will move on to the finals based on America’s votes.
